Post Op Festival presents American Chameleons: A Performance Showcase at the Painted Bride Arts Center, Jan. 22-23, 2011 in Old City, Philly.
Kosoko Performance Group will celebrate its second annual performance party series with a show entitled American Chameleons: A Performance Showcase at the Painted Bride Arts Center as a part of the 2011 POST OP FESTIVAL. The Show is Free with a Suggested Donation of $20-$25 online or at the door.

KPG will present a mixed bill of energized, high quality, post-modern performances which will include the works of guest performers from surrounding east coast cities. New York based performer Brandin Steffensen will perform the Philadelphia premiere of NEWS commissioned from world renowned dance artist and choreographer Deborah Hay. The evening will also showcase the wildly engaging dance theater antics of Drunken Monkey by hip hop dancer/choreographer Vince Johnson. Performance artist iele paloumpis will make their Painted Bride Arts Center debut with the dance-film REALNESS as well as a live performance of Give It, Take It; while Kosoko Performance Group will complete the showcase with the Philadelphia full-length premiere of the dance autobiography An Expectation of Violence.
American Chameleons is made possible in part by Melanie Stewart Dance Theatre, Dance/USA Philadelphia's New Stages for Dance, The Philadelphia Cultural Fund, and the Painted Bride Arts Center. Post-Op Festival will also premiere new works by Melanie Stewart, Megan Mazarick, and Makoto Hirano.
